Organizational Change Management is a structured approach to transitioning individuals, teams, and organizations from a current state to a desired future state. This is characterized by a shift in behaviours and attitudes in people to adopt and embrace the future state. If people don’t change then the organization has great difficult changing. Even in cases where a “Power Coercive” approach is taken where authority is exercised and sanctions imposed to get people to basically comply and generally do what they are told we find that good people are sometimes leave and the change takes longer to occur. Rainmaker Strategies Group has assisted numerous organizations to help their employees to embrace change with a greater level of understanding and willingness. We formulate an environment where individuals are more aware of the affects of change and how to navigate the change from their individual perspective. We recognize that behavioural change does not happen overnight and so we work with the leadership team to develop and implement a program over a period of time that is appropriate to the situation. “People who are confronted by change will experience a form of culture- shock as established patterns of corporate life are altered, or viewed by people as being threatened. Employees will typically experience a form of "grief" or loss (Stuart, 1995).” Hence, we focus on the people side of change. Our programs for organizational change management includes processes and tools for managing the people side of the change at an organizational level. These tools include a structured approach that can be used to effectively transition individuals, groups or organizations through change. When combined with an understanding of individual change management, these tools provide a framework for managing the people side of change. |
